Donald (Don) Ray Hill passed away on November 3, 2021 at Spring Arbor in Severna Park, Maryland. He was born to James and Clara Hill on July 31, 1933 in Thomasville, NC, the town where he was raised. He attended Thomasville High School. He joined the U.S. Air Force where he spent one tour in England. After leaving the Air Force he attended the University of Maryland and worked for many years at the National Security Agency.

Don was predeceased by his high school sweetheart, and wife of 65 years, Jewell Ellen Hill. He is survived by his children, Donald Hill, Jr. (Kathryn) of Aurora, CO; Susan Martin (Joe) of Williamsburg, VA; and Margaret Wyatt (Robert) of Millersville, MD, as well as his 6 grandchildren Kimberly Martin Beck (Chris); Don Hill, III (Wendy); Joe Martin, Jr. (Ashley); Aubrey Hill Cross; Kristie Wyatt Stadig; and Jeremy Wyatt (Becca) as well as 6 great grandchildren Ryan Beck, Donald Hill IV, Keegan Beck, Farrah Stadig, Corbin Stadig, and Aluriel Cross.

Don and Jewell were long time residents of Millersville, MD. When they retired from NSA they moved to Lillian, AL. After Jewell's death, Don moved back to Maryland to be closer to family.
Don loved spending time on the beach and travelling the world with Jewell. They enjoyed cruising and frequent casino trips, and the many friends they met on those trips. Their favorite among the many trips was their annual winter trip to Aruba. Don was fluent in several languages and meeting new people who shared those languages.

Don has requested no service. Don and Jewell's ashes will be spread at sea by their children.
