Donald Marks Newlin, 62, a life long resident of Severna Park, passed away peacefully with family by his side on November 5, 2023 after a long battle with Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie.

He was born on April 16, 1961 in Athens, Ohio and raised in Severna Park, MD. Donald graduated from Severna Park High School and attended Anne Arundel Community College.

Donald worked as a painter for custom residential work.

Donald loved painting (even when physically unable), cruising on his motorcycle/ATVing, boating/water skiing, fishing/crabbing, playing tennis, spending time with his daughter, grandchildren, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his late father, Robert Marks Newlin.

He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Patel of Beaufort, SC; two grandchildren, Laila Patel and Jax Patel; mother, Janet M. Tucker of Severna Park; two sisters, Jane Bailey of Dallas, GA and Cheryl Newlin-Reese of Severna Park; and step-father, Karl Tucker of Severna Park.

A memorial service for Donald will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11 am at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146.
