Donald Alfred Hancock, Sr., of Severna Park, passed away on September 29, 2018.

Donald graduated from St. Anthony's Elementary School and St. John's High School in Washington, DC. He was a Computer Programmer and Systems Analyst and later Co-Founded a company that managed distribution of educational materials. He was also a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp.

His hobbies and interests included computers, playing the ukulele, painting, carpentry, woodworking, and magic tricks. He also belonged to The Buckley Club in Washington, DC.

Donald is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Diana Margaret Hancock and one grandson, Ryan Hancock.

Donald is survived by his 5 children; Donald Hancock, Jr. (Angela), Michael Hancock (Kate), Mark Hancock (Beth), Laure Bruha (Paul), and Paul Hancock  (Moira); 12 grandchildren; Abbie Hancock, Evan Hancock, Adam Hancock (Kelly), Autumn Hancock Stacy (Adam), SheriLynn Hancock, Samantha Hancock, Andrew Hancock, Christine Bruha Steele (Kevin), Jennifer Bruha Pudner (James), Patrick Bruha, Gavin Hancock, and Dylan Hancock; and 4 great grandchildren; Cohen Stacy, Timothy Pudner, Cecilia Pudner, and Soloman Hancock.

Family and friends may gather on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm at the Barranco & Sons P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1pm in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. The interment in Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Rd, Clinton, MD 20735.
