Donald G. Anna, lovingly known as Buck, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born and grew up in Belleville, IL and was the 7 ^th son of Peter F. and Olivia Ettling Anna. He met his loving wife, Gladys M. Aufdembrink in 1956 and they married in 1957. He joined the Air Force shortly thereafter and served for four years. After leaving the service, he re-entered the University of Missouri and received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, he moved his family to Maryland in 1963 and started his career with Westinghouse. Eventually, he joined NASA where he worked for 28 years. He worked on many projects to include the Challenger and the Earth Orbiting Satellites (EOS) programs and received numerous awards. He retired from NASA in 1994.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren's activities.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys and their 6 children and their spouses, Becky Smith (Ken), Pam Swain (Steve), Doug (Kara), Greg (Crista), Jeff (Ann), and Russ (Kim). He was also blessed with 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers, and sister-in-law, Lee (Sally) and Lloyd, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Buck will always be remembered for his great smile and laugh.

A visitation will be held Monday, March 1, 2021 from 5-8pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. The Funeral service will be private on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 10:00am, the Video of the Funeral will be a live streamed for the public at: https://www.facebook.com/barrancofuneralhome/

The burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of one's own choice.
