Dolores Borusewicz Jahns, 79, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on December 06, 2021 at BWMC surrounded by her loving family.

Dolores "Dee" was born in Baltimore to the late Benjamin and Anne (Barowski) Borusewicz.  She graduated from Brooklyn Park High School in 1959 at the age of 16, was employed with the Federal Reserve until she chose a life-long career of being a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother "GiGi".

In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Lawrence (Larry) Jahns with whom she was blessed with two daughters.  While being fully immersed in her girls' lives, she still managed to provide full-time care to her ailing parents.

Throughout her life, Dolores was in constant motion, always there when needed, such as driving a Ryder truck pulling a car trailer across country (which she did in three days) just to help you move back home, or commuting Monday through Friday for two and a half years to the Eastern Shore to help raise her grandsons.  Gigi's active involvement with her daughter's lives continued on with her grandchildren, rarely missing a game or practice.  Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends.

Dolores' life changed forever in 2012 when she lost her husband and at the same time contracted West Nile Virus, nearly losing her own life.  Though it slowed her down she never complained.  Even when things were at their worst, she remained positive.

Dolores was a devout Catholic and member of St. Philip Neri Church.  She was an enthusiastic fan of the Ravens and Orioles, TV game shows, The Young and the Restless, and movies such as Jaws, Dirty Dancing, Born Free, Top Gun & The Sound of Music.  Later in life she was a member of the "Honey Buns," playing dominoes with fellow members twice a month.  She was a wonderful cook and party-thrower and will be remembered for her many family gatherings and parties that she hosted.

Dolores, (Dee) (GiGi) is survived by her devoted daughters Donna Jahns (Rodney Holt), Lynn Bovard (Scott), cherished grandsons Trent & Dalton Schultz, Hunter & Phoenix Bovard, life-long "sisters" Marge Gunning, & Sidney Ward, as well as many friends & "family" who meant so much to her throughout her life.  A special thank you to "daughters" Heather & Sue for always being there during times of need, and to Dr. Neil Padgett, the only physician she ever liked.

A gathering will be held Saturday April 2, 2022 at 12:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 1:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD.  A private interment to be scheduled at a later date.  Online condolences may be made at www.barrancofuneralhome.com
