Dolores M. Frost, 92, a long time resident of Severna Park for over 50 years, died on January 19, 2009 at Tate Chesapeake Hospice House in Linthicum, due to natural causes after a brief illness.

She was born on May 26, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois, where she was raised, and graduated from Austin High School in Chicago.

She met her husband in 1947 while working at Harris Trust in Chicago, Illinois and married November 5, 1948. They came to Severna Park in 1958.

She worked as an assistant bank manager and retired from Baltimore Federal Savings & Loan in 1981 after working in the banking industry since 1932.

Mrs. Frost was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and traveling.

She was a member of the Soroptimist Club in Severna Park.

Mrs. Frost was preceded in death by her husband, Mervin J. Frost, who died in 1985, and daughter, Barbara A. Atkinson.

Survivors include one daughter, Margaret M. Frost of Severna Park, MD; son, James W. Frost and daughter-in-law, Robin A Frost, both of Greencastle, PA; five grandsons; one granddaughter; and three great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. Arrangements made by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
