On December 10, 2013, peacefully in his sleep, at home, of a heart attack, at age 78.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold R. Bohlman, M.D., and Mildred Faupel Bohlman,and his younger brother, Henry H. Bohlman, M.D.


He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Ann Williams Bohlman, and their two children,"Hal" H.R. Bohlman, III, (Allyson), and Lori Jeanne Jensen (John), and four grandchildren:Sarah R. and Tyler R. Bohlman, of TN; and Emily G. and William G. Jensen, of VA.


Doc moved with his family from Baltimore to their farm in Arnold in 1947, where he lived forthe rest of his life. He graduated from Severn School, and then the University of Maryland with a degree in Business Administration. He served his country in the U. S. Army. He was retired from Maryland Blue Cross/Blue Shield.


Of his many interests were God, grandchildren, gardening, and grilling. His hobbies were mainly woodworking, photography, reading, and "pranking".


Doc was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order, the Annapolis Yacht Club, past president of the Severna Park Jaycees, past president of the PTA, past president and active member of the Annapolis Woodworking Guild.


Doc's latest support endeavor was to "Truckin' for Troops", in Crownsville, MD, which, on their own property, personally cares for wounded young men and women of our military through enriched activities. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 2:00 pm at St. Martin's-in-the-Field Episcopal Church, 375 Benfield Road, Severna Park, MD. Burial will follow in the Memorial Garden.
