IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diane
Lowe
March 3, 1942 – October 23, 2025
Diane Louise (King) Lowe, beloved wife of the late William Miles Lowe, Sr. (Bill), peacefully passed away at her residence in Pasadena, Maryland, in the early morning hours of October 23, 2025.
Diane was the first of two daughters born to Willard J. and Louise King on March 3, 1942, in Washington, DC. The family lived in Northern Virginia during her formative years then moved to Cheverly, Maryland when she was a teenager. She graduated from Bladensburg High School in 1960 and a year later married her high school sweetheart, Bill.
The young couple soon gave birth to a daughter, Lisa, followed by sons William, Jr., Christopher, Jonathan, and Michael.
Diane became a Christian in her mid-twenties while attending a bible study with ladies from her church. Bill soon followed, and their newfound love for Jesus and the scriptures determined the trajectory of their lives.
A homemaker her entire married life, Diane along with her husband, Bill, raised five children. While she also babysat a number of neighborhood children over the years, she reserved a special place in her heart for Shari Evans, who she watched for 10 years and was like a second daughter, and Anne Wilson, who she watched for about 3 years.
In addition to her love for the Lord, Diane cherished visits and calls from family, camping trips with life-long friends, the Royses, luncheons and Bible studies with friends, playing the piano, and reading.
Over the last 16 months, while bravely walking through the grief of the loss of her husband, Diane quietly adapted to major life changes, most notably, moving from her family home into assisted living. Watching her gracefully navigate such difficult challenges so late in life left her family awe-struck and extremely proud.
Diane is survived by her children, Lisa, Bill Jr. (Sonja), Chris (Dana), Jon (Stacey), and Michael. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Shirlee (King) Teets, grandchildren Madison, Rebecca, Christopher, Anna, Lucy and Jude, and great-granddaughter, Ivy.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 12 noon at Crosspointe Church, 365 Jones Station Road, Arnold, Maryland 21012. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall.
Burial private.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the church in Diane's name.
