Diane Freeman

Diane Fitzgibbon Freeman, 41, of Severna Park and licensed Realtor in Anne Arundel County for 18 years, died Sept. 11 from complications of biliary duct cancer at Gilchrist Hospice Center in Towson.

Born in Annapolis on Dec. 21, 1963, Mrs. Freeman graduated from St. Mary's Elementary and St. Mary's High schools. She earned her degree in business from Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, Pa.

She was a Realtor with O'Meara Properties and ReMax Classic, earning several designations and awards for her work in real estate. She was a member of the Distinguished Sales Achievement Club and the Anne Arundel County Board of Relators, earning a reputation for client service throughout the entire county, her family said. Almost 90 percent of her business was with repeat and referral clients.

Her interests included her family, traveling and travel planning.

Surviving are her husband, Peter Freeman, whom she married in 1991; two sons, William and Quinn Freeman of Severna Park; her parents, Alice and Edward N. Fitzgibbon Sr. of Annapolis; two sisters, Alice Fitzgibbon Martin of Annapolis and Margaret Fitzgibbon Golob of Arnold; three brothers, Edward N. Fitzgibbon Jr. of Ocean Pines, Charles Fitzgibbon of Baltimore and Timothy Fitzgibbon of Sandpoint, Idaho; and her grandmother, Lillian Mitchell of Pennington, N.J.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Road. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery on West Street.
