Dennis Sweitzer, 57, of Pasadena, died of natural causes March 13 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.

Born on Sept. 24, 1947, and reared in Baltimore, Mr. Sweitzer lived in Pasadena for the past 16 years. He served in the Air Force and did two tours of duty in Vietnam from 1966 to 1970.

For 23 years he worked for the CSX railroad system as a pipefitter. He also was a licensed master plumber in the state of Maryland.

He was president of his local Lions Club in 1977, and enjoyed camping, travel and yard work. He was known as a jack of all trades, his family said.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Billie Antrim Sweitzer; his father, Charles Sweitzer of Owings Mills; four sons, Chris, Rick and Dan Sweitzer of Pasadena and Jay Sweitzer of Brooklyn; three daughters, Kim and Rose Sweitzer of Pasadena and Kelley Sweitzer of Brooklyn; four brothers, Raymond, Jay, Wayne and Dale Sweitzer, all of Baltimore; and seven grandchildren. He was the son of the late Jennette Muriel Kendall Sweitzer.

Visitation is from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Online condolences may be made to www.barrancofuneralhome.com.
