Dennis Joseph Nolte of Severna Park passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on February 23, 2023 at the age of 81. Edward and Dorothy Nolte welcomed Dennis into this world on February 23, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

His love of HAM radio started at an early age and he obtained his HAM radio license before his driver's license. Denny, as his friends called him, graduated with a degree in Economics from Xavier University in Cincinnati. Denny married his wife, Dianne, on August 26, 1964 and later relocated to Maryland. In February 1985, he founded Chesapeake Telephone Systems(CTS) which grew to be a successful business and continues to be a major competitor in the Mid-Atlantic region. CTS is owned and managed by his son, Jeff. Denny loved people. He enjoyed connecting with them and hearing their stories. In addition to being a HAM radio enthusiast, he loved trains, playing golf, and watching the Orioles and Ravens play.

Denny is survived by his devoted wife, Dianne, of 59 years; sons, Jeff Nolte (Wendy Nolte) and Greg, three grandchildren Rebecca, Christopher, and Matthew; brother James Nolte.

A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Tuesday March 14, 2023 at 10am St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park MD 21146. Interment will be private.

Friends and family are invited to a reception at Boone Station Hall - Severna Park Community Center from 11:30AM to 1:30PM.
