Della Mae Snyder, age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 12, 2021, at home in Severn, MD.

Mrs. Snyder was born in Shinnston, WV on January 29, 1931 to Della (Jones) and Charles Price.  She was raised in Hepzibah, WV by her father and stepmother, Eunice Price, after her mother's passing.

Mrs. Snyder met and married her husband, Edward Snyder, in Clarksburg, WV in 1949.  She traveled the world and lived both stateside and abroad as a devoted Army wife.  They eventually settled in Severna Park, MD, in 1973, where they raised their three children.

She was a devout Christian, spending her Sundays at Landmark Pentecostal Church, for over 25 years.  She enjoyed going to Sunday brunch with her husband, a "tradition" that they never missed.  Mrs. Snyder enjoyed gardening, and took pride in her flowerbeds showcasing her favorite flowers – red geraniums and red roses.

When not attending services and gardening, Mrs. Snyder enjoyed traveling with her husband.  They took several trips in their RV with their grandchildren to places like Disney World and other various campgrounds throughout the southern US.  While she didn't enjoy the driving, she enjoyed the time spent with her family.  She took pride in caring for her home as well as for family and doting on her grandchildren.  She was happiest when she was providing for others.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Roscoe and William Price; her husband, Edward Snyder; her son, David Snyder; and her daughter Karen Schmuff.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Ronald Colvin of Severn, MD; her sister, Betty Roach of McKinney, TX; her granddaughter and her husband, Jennifer and Eric Clegg of Ellicott City, MD; her grandson, Christopher Colvin of Glen Burnie, MD; and her several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD on Sunday, November 21 ^st .  Services will be held at 10am on Monday, November 22 ^nd .  Interment will be at MD Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD with her husband, in a private ceremony.
