Deacon Albert F. Kosla, 88, a resident of Severna Park, passed away on January 20, 2019 at Brightview Senior Living.
He was born on February 15, 1930 in Downers Grove, Illinois and lived in multiple residences in the Midwest. He married his wife Bernice Kosla (nee Novak) on November 18, 1950.
He worked as a Salesman at Burroughs and was Director of Marketing at Unisys. He was Ordained on July 4, 1982 and became a Deacon at Our Lady of the Fields (since 1982).
Albert served in the Marine Corp and was a member of Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, and Cursillo. He was active with the Mexican Mission and was active as a Deacon at Our Lady of the Fields.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice M. Kosla and two grandchildren, Gina Kosla and Patrick Lee.
He is survived by his children, Bernice Kosla of Crownsville, MD; Andrew Kosla (Terry) of Edmond, WA; Paul Kosla (Reyna) of Leland, NC; Audrey Lee (John) of Crownsville, MD; Ann D'Unger (Robert) of Irvine, CA; and Jennifer Montagnino (Steven) of Severna Park. Also survived by his grandchildren, David Kosla (Carrie), John Lee III (Caitlin), Philip D'Unger (Amy), Daniel D'Unger (Kimberly), Cecilia Noyes (Nathan), Steven Montagnino Jr., Elizabeth Montagnino, Lauren Zabel, Lindsay Zabel, Alex Zabel (Kristy), Becca Bostron (Shawn), and six great grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park. A Viewing also will be at Our Lady of the Fields, 1070 Cecil Avenue S., Millersville, MD 21108 on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM Saturday, following the visitation at Our Lady of the Fields Church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Fields Cemetery in Millersville.
