David Mattingly
David H. Mattingly, 47, of Annapolis, died of a pulmonary embolism June 5 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie after a brief illness.
Born in Cheverly on May 10, 1960, Mr. Mattingly graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Washington, D.C., and attended Prince George's Community College. He worked as a deli merchandiser for Safeway for 13 years.
He enjoyed fishing, crabbing and boating and was a lifelong Washington Redskins fan.
Surviving are his wife, Doreen M. Mattingly; his parents, Herbert and Martha Mattingly of Valley Lee in St. Mary's County; three daughters, Michelle, Alison and Sarah Mattingly of the home; three brothers, Bob Mattingly of Burtonsville, Mike Mattingly of Manteo, N.C., and Jimbo Mattingly of Lowell, Mich.; and one sister, Sharon Gray of Crofton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will be private.
