David Kimberly, III, 82, a resident of Severna Park died on September 4, 2008 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mr. Kimberly was born on March 12, 1926 in Detroit, MI and raised in Hot Springs, NC. He served in the Navy during WW II. Mr. Kimberly was a retired NSA employee. He was a member of Annapolis Junction Sports and Touring Club and the Washington Rally Club. He was a friend of Bill W. and a sports car enthusiast.

Mr. Kimberly is survived by his wife, Shirley W. Kimberly to whom he was married on June 14, 1952; his son, David Whitten Kimberly of Arnold, MD; his brother, George Kimberly of Knoxville, NC; his sister, Margubrite Hanitt of Bluff, NC; and 3 grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home on Monday from 3-5 pm. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm. The interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Madison County, NC at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous.
