David Kent Hans, 67 years old, born in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away suddenly on August 12, 2021.

David Hans was born on February 20, 1954, to Shirley Habel-Berkshire and Francis Hans. David earned his General Education Diploma and soon after enlisted in the Marine Corps and was awarded an honorable discharge.

Earning businessman of the year, David established a name for himself crafting exquisite piers and bulkheads on Maryland's shores. He enjoyed work and was proud of the over 40 years he spent beautifying the homes and businesses along the Chesapeake Bay and its many tributaries.

David's infectious laugh and caring spirit will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and co-workers. To know David, was to love him.

He is survived by his sons, Marc Shane Hans, of Annapolis, MD, and Justin Habel Hans of Wilmington NC. Both sons followed in their father's valiant footsteps by enlisting in the Marine Corps and continuing to line the shores with impeccable craftsmanship. In addition to his sons, he is survived by siblings Jerry Hans, Joe Habel, Sharon Jernigan, Marybeth Spivey, Kim Brouillette, and Darlene McArthur.

David has left a lasting impression on all that knew him and will be deeply missed.
