David Dierdorf
David Wayne Dierdorf, 60, of Annapolis, died of heart failure Jan. 17 at his home after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Dierdorf was born Dec. 30, 1946, and reared in Indianapolis, Ind., and lived in Chesapeake, Va., for 15 years and then for 24 years in Annapolis. From 1965 to 1969 he was a Navy Seal.
He retired from Steamfitters Local 602 and had worked at White Nelson Refrigeration.
His interests included woodworking and cooking.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra Marie Dierdorf; his children, Keely Doughtie and Kasey Dierdorf of Chesapeake, Va., Kammy Ellis of Portsmouth, Va., Shannon Johnson of Annapolis and Lisa Thomas of Alexandria, Va.; and 12 grandchildren.
He was the son of the late Virginia Riffe Williamson and Leroy Dierdorf.
Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. tomorrow at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.
