David Boera, age 42, of Arnold, passed away on December 22, 2017 of Pancreatic Cancer.  He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife, his 3 children, parents and brother.

Dave, a native of Garden City, NY, attended Garden City High School, where he was a star athlete in football and lacrosse.  He attended the University of Maryland 1993-97 where he developed a deep love and loyalty as a TERP.  In 2015, Dave was elected to the 'Board of Governors' with his eye on President of the Board for the 2018 election (which he would have "won") – Dave always went for the Gold!

Dave was an entrepreneur at every turn.  In 2003, he started his own business and grew it successfully until the end of his life.  In 2000, he moved to Arnold with his wife, April, to be near the water and pursue his love of boating, fishing and crabbing.  Dave always found it peaceful by the water's edge.

Dave has three beautiful children, Andrew (13), Natalie (11) and Lindsay (9).  They were his life.  He was the greatest father, coach and hero to them.  He coached their little league soccer and lacrosse teams through the BAYS organization.  He never missed a game – it brought him joy to watch them at all activities.

Dave's hobbies included boating, fishing, crabbing, and cruising to islands with his wife and kids.

He was most comfortable at home.  His greatest joys and legacy are his wife and children.

Dave was one-of-a-kind!  He would light up a room and put a smile on faces of those in his presence.  He was warm, personable, inspiring and loyal.  He would make people laugh…uncontrollably; he was a treasured friend and he had many,  Dave was a family man.  He adored his parents and brother, with whom he kept a close relationship throughout his life.  He has touched so many lives…far and near.  He will be greatly missed.

Dave fought a strong fight the past 6 months with perseverance, humor and uplifting spirit.  There was NO QUIT.

Surviving are his wife of 19 years, April, son Andrew, daughters Natalie and Lindsay.  His beloved parents, Susanne and Andrew, and devoted brother, Jason.  Also, mother & stepfather-in-law, Colleen and Marty Bouley; father-in-law Ed Hartman; sister & brother-in-law Tracy and Tom Dequattro, and 3 nephews Gianni, Thomas Jr. and Wyatt.  Additional family members who loved and adored Dave were his Uncle Jim and Aunt Ro Gaeta, cousin Justine and Stan Bobrowski, and cousin Steven and KarenGaeta.

Friends may visit on Wednesday December 27, 2017 from 2-4:00 p.m. & 6-8:00 p.m. at the Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday December 28, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Andrews by the Bay Catholic Church, 701 College Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
