David Ray Allen, "Ray", 60, of Annapolis died July 15 at his home surrounded by family, after a 2 year battle with cancer. Born June 15, 1952 in Waycross, Georgia to Bertha and the late James "Jimmy" Allen. He graduated from Ware County High school in 1970 and went on to receive his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Cal State San Bernardino University.

Ray was employed as an Auditor with the Department of Defense. When he wasn't working to provide for his family, he enjoyed spending time with them. He was an encyclopedia for movies and music, and a talented drummer.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Christine, their oldest daughter Margaret Davis, son-in- law Kevin, and granddaughter Delaney, his son David and 3 daughters Clare, Caitlin, and Christina. His mother Bertha, brothers Dale, Donald and sister Maryanne, reside in Waycross, Georgia.

Friends may visit on Wednesday July 18, 2012 from 5-8pm at the Barranco & Sons, P.A Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery, Blackshear, GA.
