Daniel Sullivan (1931-2012), husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many, died on Saturday, September 1, 2012 in Annapolis, Maryland.
Daniel Sullivan was born November 9, 1931 in Jamaica, NY to Joseph and Katherine Huber Sullivan. He married Jeannemarie Horeau in 1953. He is survived by his wife; two brothers, Matthias and Joseph; a son, Daniel; four daughters, Barbara Sullivan, Elizabeth Wilson. Ellen Gaskill and Margaret Edwards, as well as thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Daniel Sullivan graduated from St. Johns University in 1953 and enjoyed a long career as a senior executive in the home furnishings industry. In addition, as a fireman, accredited master gardener, artist and set designer, his eclectic personal and professional talents brought him joy and placed him in demand by others.
His personal passion for art, opera, classical music, gardening, and community service will be remembered as sources of the energy driving his spirit and marking the influential impressions on others he met. His family and friends will miss his unfailing love, generous spirit, personal conviction, passion for sharing life and his contributions to the welfare of his community.
Daniel Sullivan previously resided in Annapolis MD, Sebastian FL, Ramsey NJ, Syracuse NY, North Bellmore NY, Glen Oaks NY and Queens Village NY.
Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, MD 21146. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 10 AM at St. John Neumann Church, 620 North Bestgate Road in Annapolis, MD 21401.
