Daniel A. Parvis was born and raised in northern New Jersey, received an M.S. in Mathematics and an M.S. in engineering both from N.J.I.T. After living in southern Maryland for 10 years, he and his family moved to Severna Park where he became active in Annapolis Striders, A.A.C.T.A., and A.A. Co. Recs and Parks basketball. He was a member of A.S.M.E. for over 25 years. He volunteered for more than 30 years at Fairfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and worked at Genesis Severna Park for five years. He will be buried next to his first wife of 24 years at Our Lady of the Fields cemetery in Millersville. He is survived by his current wife Joan, two sons, Joe and Matt (wife Lindsay), two stepsons, Jim (wife Shari) and Steven (Wife Dawn), his brother Ed (wife Marilyn), two grandsons, Jared and Gordon, nieces, nephew, and great nieces.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD, 21146. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 10am at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 461 College Pkwy, Arnold, MD, 21012. Burial is to follow at Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, 1070 Cecil Avenue, Millersville, MD, 21108.
