Daniel W. Lewis, 72, a 32 year resident of Severna Park, died on September 16, 2009 at Mandrin Chesapeake Hospice House in Harwood, MD, after a long term illness.
He was born on August 16, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Canastota, NY.
Mr. Lewis retired from the Department of Defense after 37 years of employment.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Rosalie A. Lewis of Severna Park, MD; very loving father to son, Jeffrey M. Lewis of Severna Park, MD and daughter, Diane M. Lewis of Washington D.C.; and dear brother of James A. Lewis of Raymond, ME and Russell G. Lewis of Big Bear, Lake, CA.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146.
Interment will be private. Arrangements by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to University of Maryland Medical Center, Pastoral Care, Attn: Father Bill, 22 South Greene St., Baltimore, MD 21201
