Daniel John Bartley, age 68, passed away on January 12, 2025, after a brief illness. Dan was born in Holyoke, MA on December 17, 1956, and attended local schools. He graduated from Harvard in 1978, and from Harvard Law School in 1982. He worked as an Elder Law attorney for many years at Greater Boston Legal Services. Dan lived in Cambridge, MA for most of his adult life and was a member of a local choral group. He moved to Maryland in 2020 and was recently a resident at Bay Village. Dan loved chess and was an expert-rated chess player. He was a member of the local Golden Knights Chess club, playing chess weekly.

Dan was predeceased by his father, John, mother, Jeanne, and wife, Helen Glikman. Dan's siblings, Kathleen, Eileen, Gail, Linda, Ruth and Mary, their spouses, 13 nieces and nephews, and one grand niece will all miss him deeply.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday January 18, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm with a memorial service being held at 11:00am at the Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie hwy Severna Park, MD 21146.
