IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dana
Meddows
April 12, 1947 – March 25, 2021
Dana Lee Meddows, age 73, passed away on March 25th, 2021 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Dana was born April 12th, 1947 to the late William F. Lohnes and Margaret Bonner Lohnes of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended Grove City College. She was a social worker and a teacher's assistant retiring in 2012.
Dana was married to the love of her life, the late Daniel R. Poorman and was fortunate to find love again marrying the late AMSC(ret), USN Wayne L. Meddows. Dana is survived by her three children, Corey, Kevin, and Todd Poorman, her loving daughters-in-law Nicole and Beth, and her four grandchildren, Alexis, Kayden, Taylor, and Slater.
Dana was active with her water aerobics, tutoring, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was especially proud of all three of her sons and often humored the unexpectant stranger with stories and pictures of her family and their accomplishments.
Dana was a dedicated and wonderful mother, grandmother, and a compassionate friend to all. She was always ready to helping anyone in need. She will be missed by all.
A Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday April 1, 2021 from 1:00pm-3:00pm with a Memorial service to follow at 3:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy. Severna Park, MD 21146.
