Dale Levi Gatton, Sr., 84, a resident of Severna Park, passed away on May 17, 2026, at his home.

He was born on May 5,1942 to Sterling Levi Gatton and Eunice Gatton (nee Joy) in Baltimore, MD and raised in Glen Burnie, MD. Dale attended Glen Burnie High School and Southern High School. He married Cecelia on December 16,1961 and they moved to Severna Park where they were residents of Manhattan Beach for over 64 years.

Dale worked as a steamfitter for over sixty years. He belonged to the Steamfitters Local #438. He was also an original owner and operator of Dynastics, Inc.

Dale enjoyed hunting with his four sons; fishing; and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 64 yrs, Cecelia Gatton of Severna Park, MD; sons, Dale Gatton, Jr. of Culpeper, VA, Jeff Gatton of Deale, MD, Glen Gatton of Owings, MD and Scott Gatton of Arnold, MD; brother, Dennis Gatton of Dagsboro, DE; sister, Deloures Bergquist of Hempton, GA; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Friday May 22nd from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Barranco Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway Severna Park MD, 21146.

The following day, Saturday May 23rd, there will be a Funeral service at Barranco Funeral Home at 12:00pm, with burial to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5829 Ritchie Hwy, Baltimore, MD 21225.
