Cynthia Marie Johnson, daughter of the late Paul E. O-Brien and Clara Ruth O'Brien was born on September 13, 1957 in Baltimore City, Maryland. She departed this life on February 9, 2023 after a brief illness and beautiful lifetime of caring, commitment, and service to her family, friends, and church community. She was 65 years old.

Cynthia received her education in the Anne Arundel County School system. After graduating from Severna Park High School she worked in the position of Directorate of Human Resources for 37 years at Fort Meade, Maryland.

In 1982, Cynthia married Roger Willis Johnson Sr. from this union, they were blessed with one devoted son, Roger Willis Johnson Jr.

Cynthia was the definition of a virtuous woman, and had a strong relationship with God. She was a member of the Church at Severn Run in Severn, Maryland where she loved her church family. Cynthia was a forgiving, forthright, friendly, generous, outgoing, and thoughtful soul. She loved communicating with people. Cynthia was family oriented and enjoyed family gatherings. She and Roger especially enjoyed taking trips. Some of her fondest memories were yearly trips traveling to rendezvous with their Ham Radio Group. She also loved summer trips to Ocean City with family and her girlfriends.

Cynthia leaves to mourn but to cherish her precious memories: a husband of 41 years, Roger Willis Johnson Sr. of Severna Park; her devoted son Roger Jr. and two much loved and treasured grandchildren, Roger Willis III and Areiahna of Severna Park; one brother Paul Richard O'Brien (Judi) of Dover, DE; seven sister in-laws: Carolyn Hunt of Arnold, Theresa Williams of Severn, Isabell Watts (Sherman) of Severna Park, Faye Offett of Annapolis, Janice Slocum of Arnold, Maxine (Clyde) Middleton of Annapolis and Debra O'Brien of Pasadena MD; four brother in laws; Elroy Johnson Jr. (Carol) of Severna Park, Warner Johnson (Karen Williams) of Severna Park, Eric Johnson (Cheryl) of Pikesville; Donald Johnson (Sharon) of Upper Marlboro, MD, a god daughter Emily Dubyew, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors, and former co-workers. She was preceded in death by a brother Daniel Lee O'Brien and a sister, Sheila Ann Bailey.

Family and friends may visit on Friday February 17, 2023 from 10:00am-11:00am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am at The Church of Severn Run, 8187 Telegraph Rd, Severn, MD 21144.

Her burial will take place following the service, at Carpenter's Hill Cemetery, 765 MD-648, Severna Park, MD 21146.
