Cynthia Juliet Goshorn passed away suddenly on January 21, 2025.

Cynthia was born on December 26, 1964 to Rodney and Jean (neé McClure) Field in Wilmington, Delaware. She grew up in Dover, DE and Santa Ana, CA, attended Altoona High School in Wisconsin, and then the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire, before earning her master's degree in fisheries biology from Louisiana State University. She moved to Maryland, where she worked for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Fishing and Boating Services as a fisheries biologist. On September 28, 1996 Cynthia married the love of her life, David Goshorn, and they settled in Arnold, MD where they grew their family.

Cynthia enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially on the water and taking photos. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and supporting her three sons as they grew into men.

She is survived by her husband, David Goshorn of Arnold, MD; her sons Ben Goshorn of Wilmington, DE, Alex Goshorn of Arnold, MD, and Chris Goshorn of Arnold, MD; her father Rodney Field of Severna Park, MD; her sisters Vanessa Hiller of Ashburn, VA and Melinda Gornic (and her husband Carlos) of Tulsa, OK; her nieces Leah Gornic of Tulsa, OK, Miranda Hiller of Denver, CO, and Avery Hiller of Ashburn, VA; and her mother-in-law Mary Margaret Goshorn of Parkville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cynthia's name to the Phoenix Wildlife Center, 4700 Sweet Air Rd Baldwin MD, 21013.

Family and friends may visit on Sunday January 26, 2025 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park, MD 21146. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday January 27, 2025 at 11:00am at First Presbyterian Church, 171 Duke of Gloucester St, Annapolis, MD 21401.
