Craig Reese Glidden, 50, of Middle River, MD died suddenly on 16 December 2008. He was the loving father of Reese and Maeghan Glidden.

Craig was born on 3 April 1958 in Washington D.C. He was the youngest son of the late Minnie Stevens Glidden and Willis (Bill) Glidden and the brother of Scott and Steve. He grew up in District Heights and Upper Marlboro MD where he attended and graduated from Frederick Douglass Senior High School in 1976. From 1964 to1965 he lived in Montego Bay, Jamaica; as an adult he returned to Jamaica numerous times and enjoyed introducing friends and later his children to the island he loved.

In addition to his children, he loved his dogs (Molly and Aero) and always enjoyed spending time with his friends who he cherished and his family who were scattered from coast to coast across the U.S. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Orioles. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved camping, fishing, and crabbing with his children, and driving his jeep through the mountains. His other interests included sports, politics, reading, and music.

He was an independent software programming consultant and full-time Dad. In addition to his children, his father and brothers, survivors include his stepmother Ida May Glidden and his stepsisters Cheryl Crumm and Cyndi Conner, the mother of his children Amy Collon Glidden, his sisters-in laws Cynthia Glidden and Nancy Tomlinson, brothers-in laws Bill Crumm and Bob Conner, his nieces Angharad Glidden, Lily Glidden, and Emily Conner, and his nephew Sam Glidden.

A graveside funeral service and burial was held at Fort Lincoln Cemetary Brentwood, Maryland at 1130 on 20 December 2008.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Educational funds of Reese and Maeghan Glidden and sent c/o Cyndi Conner 342 Martins Cove Road Annapolis Md 21409.
