Connor Kendrick Whitney, 31, of Crownsville, Maryland, passed away on January 21, 2025. Born on October 11, 1993 in Annapolis, Maryland to Matthew Whitney and Krista (Bruns) Whitney. Connor grew up with his siblings Clay, Carson, and Summer. He was graduated from Severna Park High School in 2011 as a Scholar Athlete and earned a degree in Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2016.

He enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay and Virginia's Eastern Shore, the Ravens and most of all cooking. He showed his love for friends and family through sharing his delicious and very complicated meals. He had a lifelong interest in building, creating and designing. At age 10 he designed and built an underwater submersible that was to be deployed in the pristine waters of Bryant Pond, Maine, the Magothy River and a neighbor's swimming pool. This fueled his career in ocean engineering where he worked at Ellicott Dredges in hull design and received his Fundamental Engineer (FE) designation.  He designed underwater SOV's for Northrop Grumman, and most recently worked on the next generation of destroyers with Strategic Insights.

Connor is survived by his loving parents, siblings and his beloved animals Roxy, Scout, Hazel and Vie.

He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Randy and Barbara Bruns, of Catonsville, MD and his paternal grandparents, John (late) and Helen Whitney, of Moorestown, NJ.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday May 4, 2025 at 11:00am at Barranco Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy Severna Park MD, 21146.
