Connie Jane Paul, 82, a resident of Millersville, MD, died on December 7th, 2021 at AAMC from pneumonia.
She was born and raised in Berwick Pennsylvania, and graduated from Berwick High School in 1957. While in high school, Connie was the editor of the school newspaper and a majorette in the marching band. She was also an honor student and active in the drama club.
Connie married Dale Paul, also of Berwick, PA, in 1959. In addition to Berwick, Connie lived with her husband Dale at residences in State College and Lewiston, PA, and Annapolis, MD, before moving to Severna Park, MD, where they built a home in which they lived for 27 years. After the death of her husband in 2012, Connie moved into a condominium in Millersville, MD.
In 1961, Connie graduated from Bloomsburg State College in Bloomsburg, PA, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, and later received a Master's degree from Loyola University. For 37 years she taught English/Language Arts at secondary schools in Berwick, State College, Lewistown PA, Annapolis, Pasadena and Severna Park MD. She retired from Severna Park High School in 1999.
As a younger woman, Connie served as the corresponding secretary of the Charity League in Lewistown, PA, and belonged to the Young Adult Dance Club there. In addition, she enjoyed writing poetry, reading novels, and doing crossword puzzles and doting on her grandchildren.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Dorothy of Berwick, PA, and her husband Dale. She is survived by her sisters Karole and Holly and daughter Laurie of Millersville MD, two grandsons, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
Connie will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother, Greatgrandmother, Sister, and friend to many.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday December 11, 2021, at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Washington Blvd., Severna Park Maryland.
