Constance "Connie" Ledger Lavallee, 75 years old, a 36 year resident of Severna Park, Maryland passed away peacefully from cancer at home surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of the late Edgar and Mary Sullivan Ledger was born in Springfield, MA on January 16, 1940. She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Ryan.

She graduated from University of Massachusetts (B.S. Zoology) and Syracuse University (M.S. Education). Before her children were born, she taught high school Biology in Massachusetts and New York. After raising her children, she taught junior high science and religion at St. John the Evangelist School in Severna Park and at Bishop Ludden in Syracuse, New York, to students whom she cherished.

She volunteered at Birthright of Annapolis for 32 years and taught junior high Religion at her churches, Holy Cross in Syracuse, and Our Lady of the Fields in Millersville, for 40 years. She was a Eucharistic Minister, and was active in the Charismatic prayer movement, the parish's Respect Life Committee, Women of Faith, and Cursillo. She enjoyed swimming, hiking, downhill skiing, kayaking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

On July 11, 1964, she married Rolland "Ray" Lawrence Lavallee who survives her after 50 wonderful years of marriage. She is also survived by three sons, Dr. Mark (Tara) Lavallee of York, PA, Brian (Edie) Lavallee of Severna Park, and Paul (Peggy) Lavallee of Berwyn, PA, seven grandchildren (Thomas, Sean, Michael, Joseph, Samantha, Kristen and Katie), and a niece and nephew.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 27th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Barranco & Sons,P.A Severna Park Funeral Home 495 Ritchie Highway Severna Park, Maryland 21146.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 28th at 11:00am at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, Cecil Avenue South, Millersville followed by burial in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Birthright of Annapolis, 269 Peninsula Farm Road, Suite A, Arnold, MD 21012.
