Malcolm Clark Emerick passed away on December 4, 2022 at Charter Senior Living in Annapolis, MD from vascular dementia and Covid complications. He was born in Basingstoke, England on December 16, 1945.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christina B. Emerick, his two sons, Jason and Garrett and his daughter in law Kristine Evia, and Melissa Emerick, and two granddaughters Theresa and Piper. He is preceded in death by his father, Clark Jackson Emerick, his mother, Vera Emerick, and his sister, Diane Hagey.
Malcolm was raised in Middle River, Maryland where his love of flying developed watching planes from Martin State Airport fly over his house. He attended Overly High School and eventually graduated from Towson State University. He lived in Severna Park, in the community of Fair Oaks for over 40 years. He was active in the community and coached his son's baseball and soccer teams.
Malcolm had a career in the military that spanned over 38 years in the Army and Air Force Reserves. He was a Cobra Helicopter pilot in Vietnam in the 1960's. After leaving the Army he had a distinguished career in the Air Force Reserves flying A-10's for the Maryland National Guard in Baltimore. He also had a career of over 20 years in Commercial aviation, flying for Eastern AL, Northwest AL, Net Jets, Hinson Air, and in retirement Delta.
He enjoyed remodeling his home, restoring cars, and working in the yard. He was an avid jogger and entered in a couple of 10 mile races in Annapolis. He enjoyed watching baseball, soccer, football, and golf.
His funeral will be held at Arlington National cemetery at a future date.
