We are sad to announce the passing of Clifton "Brooks" Leight, Jr. (41) of Severna Park, MD. Brooks passed away at sea on December 23, 2023.

Brooks was born on June 30, 1982 to his mother, Karen Russell, and father, Clifton Leight. He spent his formative years in Rock Hall on Maryland's Easter Shore. As a young man, he embarked on a career as an electrician and eventually obtained his Master Electrician license. Soon after, he started his own electrical contracting company, Leight Electric, which he proudly operated until his passing.

Brooks will be greatly missed by the many whose lives he touched. He was a beloved husband, a doting father, a generous friend, and a respected businessman. He never met a stranger. His charm, warmth, and exuberance were contagious. Brooks was most content when sharing his love of boating and fishing with his children.

Brooks is survived by his wife Shannon; his children: Brooks (11), Jesse (9), and Issa (4); his step-children Sophia (13) and Julien (11); his mother Karen Russell, his sister Danielle Johnson and her children Isaiah, Ethan, Jacob, and Naomi; and his sister Amber Wardlaw (husband Tareinus) and their children Tareinus, Jr., Noah, Makai, Aspen. He is preceded in death by his father, Clifton Leight, and his sister, Erin Leight.

A memorial service will be held at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A. at 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146 on Saturday, January 20th at 2:00 pm.
