Cleveland Elder Collins Jr., 83, a lifelong resident of Severna Park, died of heart failure Sept. 22 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie after a brief illness.
Born Aug. 19, 1924, in Annapolis, Mr. Collins was reared in Severna Park. He retired more than 20 years ago from the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 486 in Baltimore, where he was a steamfitter foreman.
His interests included working around the house and yard.
He was married to Betty M. Errickson Collins, who died in March. Surviving are his daughter, Marie Kennedy of Milford, Del.; a brother, Thomas Collins of Severna Park; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie. Online condolences can be made to www.barrancofuneralhome.com
