Claude R. Sloan, 76, of Arnold passed away on February 28, 2009 at his residence, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Fairmont, WV on July 13, 1932 to David and Wilma Sloan. He was married on December 24, 1956 to his loving wife Shirley, who preceded his death.
He spent over 20 years in the U.S. Army and served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the Military, he continued to serve his country as a police officer with the National Security Agency.
He is survived by his sons, Claude Sloan, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Wattsburg, PA, and Larry Sloan of Arnold, MD, and his daughter Linda Kerr and her fiancé Gary Blunt of Arnold, MD, one brother David Sloan, of Quantico, VA and three loving grandchildren, Danielle, Sam, and Kimberly.
Services and interment will be private. Arrangements made by Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home.
