Clara Jane " Janie" Dixon, 69, a resident of Gambrills, MD passed away on February 20,2025 at her residence.

She was born on October 1,1955 in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Odenton. She previously lived in Henderson, TX before moving to Gambrills, MD.

Janie worked as a Customer Service Manager at Lowes.

She loved her family and her pet bird "Baby". She enjoyed watching soap operas and loved to crochet. She also enjoyed fishing and cooking.

Janie was preceded in death by her late husband, Jerry Nicklow, Sr. in Feb. 2000; and siblings Cecilia Marszalek, William Marszalek, Theresa Campbell, and Bernard Marszalek, Jr. (who passed away hours before Janie).

She is survived by her son, Jerry Dale Nicklow (Nancy); daughter, Sherry Lynn Nicklow; grandchildren, Kevin Sumpter, Jr. (Courtney), Ashley Sumpter, Alexandra Nicklow, and Dalton Nicklow; sisters, Louise Steele of Hanover, PA and Frances Travers of Waldorf, MD

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 19th. Please contact the family for further details. Private interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
