Claire Eva George, 81, of Annapolis, died Sunday, November 24th, at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Born in 1931, in Hartford, Connecticut, Claire received her bachelor's degree in education from Villanova University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She taught school at the Immaculate Conception in Astoria, New York during the mid-1950s. Claire continued teaching during the 1960s in Willingboro, New Jersey.
In 1974, upon moving to Ft. Meade, Claire became a cafeteria manager with Anne Arundel County Public Schools, until her retirement in 1987.
She is survived by her beloved husband, CSM James George, US Army (ret.); her devoted children, James George of Severna Park and Susan Dellos of Cheyenne , WY; and her adored grandchildren Timothy and Matthew George, and Madison and Cassidy Dellos.
A Memorial Mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Annapolis will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Little Sisters of the Poor.
