Christopher "Guido" Whitesel, 55, a resident of Arnold for 25 years, died on March 27, 2011 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD, after a 10 month battle with cancer.

He was born October 10, 1955 in Washington, DC, and raised in Silver Spring where he graduated from John F. Kennedy High School, and attended Montgomery College.

Guido was a bartender at McGarvey's Saloon & Oyster Bar in Annapolis and the 8 X 10 in Baltimore.

His interests included attending the Jazz Fest in NOLA, watching his children's swim meets, and he also loved spending time at the beach.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty A. Whitesel.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kathy "KP" Whitesel; two daughters, Maggie Whitesel and Kaleigh Whitesel, all of Arnold; father, Roy T. Whitesel of Silver Spring, MD; one brother, Jeff Whitesel of Bethesda; and one brother in-law, John M. Payne of Garrett Park, MD.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 1-7 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, 21146. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 7 pm. Interment will be private.
