Christopher Loring Pierce passed away peacefully on July 26, 2021. He was born on October 24, 1937 in Greenwich, Connecticut to Greely and Alice Pierce. He was raised in Oneida, NY and attended Milford High School in Milford, Delaware. After High School, Christopher attended North Texas State, the University of Delaware, and American University, and earned his Master's degree. Christopher also lived in Madrid Spain, before settling in Annapolis, Maryland. He served in the army from 1956 to 1959 after which he became an Information Systems consultant. He started his own business, Applied Systems Concepts, of which he was the owner and president before retiring. He was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks. He loved playing bridge, golfing, boating, and most of all spending time with his friends and family.
Christopher was predeceased by his beloved wife of forty-three years, Barbara Kimmey Pierce, and son John G. Pierce. He is survived by his children Christopher Pierce (Denise) of Fredericksburg, VA, Michael Pierce (Perine) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Karen Pierce-Blandamer (Gary) of Pasadena, MD and his companion of many years, Ellen Kroeger, as well as seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two nieces and three nephews.
A visitation will be held at Barranco Severna Park Funeral Home & Cremation Care, P.A., 495 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park MD, 21146, on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Andrew's by the Bay, 701 College Parkway, Annapolis MD, 21409, on Friday July 30, 2021 at 11 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Benedictine Sisters of Ridgely MD, 14259 Benedictine Ln, Ridgely, MD 21660.
