Cheryl Ann Cogan, 64, a resident of Centreville, died on December 13, 2014 at UM Shore Emergency Center in Queenstown.
Cheryl was born in Houston, TX and lived in California, Florida, and Ohio before settling in Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her son, Grant and her mother, Mildred.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; beloved children, Marc and his wife Nairi, and Mandie and her husband Anthony; five wonderful grandchildren; her two sisters, Gail and Paula; and her father, Carlos. She is also survived by her five adopted shelter cats, who miss her as much as the rest of her family.
Cheryl loved to travel, visiting Asia and Europe, and especially the month long driving vacations throughout the United States with her husband.
The family requests donations to animal rescue/no kill shelters in lieu of flowers.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, December 18th from 4-7 pm at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Hwy, in Severna Park, with a service to begin at 6:00 pm on Thursday. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
