Cheryl Lynn Chaiffre Nichols Bowen, 44, of Trappe, died at her home on April 9, after a brief illness.

Mrs. Bowen was born in Baltimore on Sept. 8, 1962, and reared in Annapolis. She was a self-employed landscaper who also worked for various travel agencies.

Her interests included animals, especially horses, and watching the races in Cambridge.

Survivors include her parents, Norma H. and William S. Chaiffre of Annapolis; one daughter, Cari Lynn Nichols of Yakama, Wash.; and one brother, Bryan W. Chaiffre of Annapolis.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Barranco and Sons Funeral Home, 295 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, with a service to follow at 8 p.m. Burial is private. Arrangements made by Barranco and Sons Funeral Home.
