Charles "Charlie" J. Becker III, 35, a resident of Severna Park, died on July 25, 2009 of respiratory failure at Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD.
He was born on July 26, 1973 in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Severna Park, MD.
Mr. Becker received a bachelor of science from Salisbury University in 1996 and was on the Dean's list in his final semester. He was employed as a loan officer in mortgage banking and was the Director of Maintenance for the Green Hornets.
He loved sports and was an avid Oriole and Redskins fan. He was known for his ability to make people laugh and for being so caring and sentimental.
Mr. Becker was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 175.
Survivors include his mother, Victoria Becker of Severna Park, MD; his father, Charles J. Becker Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Millersville, MD; one sister, Lisa Culp and her husband, Shawn of Arnold, MD; and one brother, Colin Becker of Baltimore, MD. He was also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins and his longtime friend, Matt Cremen.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 29 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 30 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Ritchie Hwy, Severna Park, MD 21146. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greater Severna Park Athletic Association Green Hornets, P.O. Box 643, Severna Park, MD 21146.
