Charles "Chuck" and "Pop Pop" J. Ziethen, Sr. died on January 7, 2014 peacefully at home after a long illness surrounded by his family.

He was born June 14, 1929 in Baltimore, MD. He retired from C&P Telephone Company , was a member of the American Legion and served in the Korean War in the U.S. Navy (USSS Randolph aircraft carrier). He loved the water, crabbing, fishing, traveling with his family and was an avid Ravens fan.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, two children, daughter-in-law, son-in-law and five grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, January 14th at Oaklawn Cemetery: 7225 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, MD 21224
