Charles Frederick Wood, Jr.

Charles Frederick Wood, Jr. "Fred", 52, died at his home in Glen Burnie, MD on August 29, 2008. The cause of death is not available.

Mr. Wood was born on April 20, 1956 in Baltimore, MD where he was also raised. He later resided in Severna Park for over twenty years in the communities of Severna Forest and Evergreen Estates.

Mr. Wood served in the United States Marine Corps from 1976 -1979. He completed a Carpenter's Apprenticeship Program and worked as a carpenter until 1997. Since that time has worked as a kitchen designer at the Home Depot in Annapolis, MD.

Mr. Wood was a member on the Severna Park Jaycees, where he served as president from 1990-1991. He also was a Son of the American Legion. He enjoyed listening to music and attending the Blues Festival at Sandy Point every year. He loved spending time with his Pit Bull, Rex.

Mr. Wood is survived by his former wife, Judith Bean Wood of Annapolis; two daughters, Jessica Guerieri of Chester, MD, and Aimee Wood of Annapolis; his father, Charles F. Wood, Sr. of Baltimore, MD; his mother, Mary Ringrose of Halethorpe, MD; three sisters, Susan Boritz of Baltimore, MD, Debbie Apostoledes and Robin Cox, both of Fallston, MD; one brother, Elmer Grap of Ellicott City, MD; and two grandchildren.

A brief service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at the MD Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Crownsville, MD. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at Chartwell Golf and Country Club 1 Chartwell Drive Severna Park, MD 21146, where flowers will be accepted.
