Charles McConnell
Charles L. McConnell Sr., 63, of Severna Park died of pancreatic cancer Dec. 23 in his home after a one-year illness.
Mr. McConnell was born Dec. 28, 1943, in Jersey Shore, Pa., where he was raised. He earned an associates degree from Anne Arundel Community College in computer science.
He was a retired computer technician from Unisys.
Mr. McConnell served in the Navy from 1962 to 1966.
He was a member of the Corvette Club.
He enjoyed working on, driving, and racing his corvette. He also enjoyed gardening and yard work, computers, and photography, and loved the mountains in Colorado.
Survivors include one son, Charles L. McConnell Jr. of Severna Park; one daughter, Robin Frazier of Haymarket, Va.; two brothers, William McConnell of Williamsport, Pa. and David McConnell of Texas Creek, Colo.; two sisters, Eileen Cummings of Florida and Debra Reinna of Miami, Fla.; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway.
Interment is private.
