Charles Joseph Schmith, 59, a resident of Middletown, DE, died on September 20, 2009 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center due to natural causes.

He was born on October 14, 1949 in Baltimore and raised in Dundalk and had previously lived in Pasadena.

Mr. Schmith was a certified machinist and worked at Northrop Grumman for 40 years.

He loved golf, playing with his grandson, fishing, camping and enjoyed playing slot machines.

He was preceded in death by his late parents, Martin and Dorothy Schmith.

Mr. Schmith was married to his loving wife, Debra Schmith of Pasadena; devoted father of April Lynn Schlein of Glen Burnie and Mark Joseph Schmith of Elkton; proud grandfather of Kyle Justin Schlein; and loving brother of Martin Schmith, Jr. of Hanover, PA and Diane Disney of Baltimore.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm and on Friday, September 25, 2009 from 9-11 AM at Barranco & Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Gov. Ritchie Hwy in Severna Park. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in Baltimore.
