We are saddened to announce that on the morning of September 21, 2021, we lost an extraordinary man, Charles H. Rodger, at the age of 74, after battling a brief illness. Charles, a longtime resident of Severna Park, MD is preceded in death by his parents Alice & Neale Rodger, as well as his sister, Margaret "Peggy" Muller, all originally from Lakewood, Ohio. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Susan; his loving sister, Barbara Rodger; his three children, Kevin Rodger (Holly), Colleen Finn (Michael), and Carrie Rayburn (Cory); and 5 grandchildren whom he adored, Connor, Cate, Caleb, Carson, and Addison.

Charlie was a graduate and avid fan of the University of Maryland as well as a devoted Baltimore Ravens enthusiast. Charlie held a vast variety of interests, including fishing, crabbing, all things electronic, and fixing almost anything. His absolute favorite hobby was building model trains, especially for his grandchildren. Prior to retirement he was a Project Manager for Denver Elek. From grilling to fine dining, he loved to cook for his family and friends. Charlie was an active member of the West Severna Park Community, and a true neighbor to all. With the biggest heart of anyone you'd meet he was always there to help anyone with anything. Whether you knew him as Charlie, Charles, Chas, Chuckles, Dad, Pip, or Papa, he was like no one else, larger than life, and touched the hearts of all.

A small memorial service will be held on Saturday November 6, 2021 at 10:00am at the West Severna Park Community Beach 407 Holland Rd Severna Park, MD 21146.
