Charles Francis Gardner, 64, of Severn and formerly of Severna Park, died of an asthma attack Jan. 28 at North Arundel Hospital.
Born April 10, 1940, and reared in Baltimore, Mr. Gardner served in the Navy from 1958 to 1960.
He worked for the Anne Arundel County Board of Education in maintenance. He also worked for Head Ski in Timonium in the 1960s and in New York in ceiling construction.
Among his interests were bowling, walking and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Hunter Gardner; one son, Chris Gardner of Arnold; one daughter, Elizabeth Jacobson of Minneapolis; two brothers, Mick Gardner of Virginia and Ronnie Gardner of Maryland; and three grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Albert and Doug Gardner and Helen Brown.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Internment will be at Lorraine Park Cemetery in Baltimore at 1:30 pm on Thursday,
2-3-2005.
