Charles Scrivener Dayton passed away on April 30, 2019.

Charlie was born to Carol (Scrivener) and Leroy Dayton on January 8, 1955 in Maryland. He was raised in Arnold, MD, attended Severna Park High School, and received a Bachelor's degree in Engineering at the University of Maryland.

Charlie was a founding member of the Severn River Rugby Football Club. He loved the game and team, crabbing and boating, puzzles, and following collegiate sports.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Dayton; his daughter, Jessica Dayton of Los Angeles, CA; his son, Jonathan Dayton of Phoenix, AZ; his sister, Jacqueline Richter of Pasadena, MD; his sister, Diane Brown of Severna Park, MD; his daughter in law, Carrie Dayton of Phoenix, AZ; his granddaughter, Ellie Dayton of Phoenix, AZ.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Barranco and Sons, P.A. Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway, Severna Park, MD 21146.
