Charles Martin (Marty) Berry, age 85, of Arnold, MD, died November 6, 2024. Born in Washington, D.C., July 15, 1939, he is the son of Wilbur E. and Lena R. Berry, and stepson of Antoinette Berry, all deceased. He is survived by his daughters Amber L. Berry, New York, N.Y. and Dana L. Blitz, Sykesville MD, and two brothers, Wilbur E. Berry, Jr., Scottsdale AZ and Donald R. Berry, Glen Burnie, MD.

Mr. Berry grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. and was a 1958 graduate of Montgomery Blair High School, Silver Spring, MD, where he played varsity baseball and football. He earned a degree in Business Administration, 1964, University of Maryland, College Park, MD; and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, 1962-1967. For most of his career he worked in public relations, fund raising and marketing positions, including Corporate Secretary and Director of Public Relations, Acacia Life Insurance Company, Washington, D.C.; Public Affairs Officer, BWI Airport, Linthicum, MD; Director of Special Events, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New York, N.Y; and as Executive Vice President, Association of Specialists in Cleaning and Restoration, Millersville, MD. He later worked as a marketing specialist for a Maryland group of SERVPRO fire and water damage restoration franchises. In semi-retirement, he worked more recently as a shuttle driver for PreFlight Parking at BWI Airport.
